2018 Kia Forte LX vs. S: Performance

The base model and mid-level Kia Forte have very similar performance. After all, both use the same powertrain. However, there are two major differences between the two.

First, the 2018 Kia Forte LX comes standard with a six-speed manual transmission. By contrast, all new 2018 Kia Forte S models come standard with a six-speed automatic transmission with Sportmatic®, which is only optional on the LX. However, most LX models in our inventory are equipped with the automatic.

Second, the 2018 Kia Forte S utilizes a sport-tuned suspension, a rear spoiler, and larger wheels than the LX edition to improve handling.
